Taking Time to Relax, Rejuvenate and Reflect

No matter what is going on in your life, you need to make time to relax, rejuvenate and reflect to move forward. This is especially true when you are in the middle of a transition. It allows you to step back, release the change for a bit and see whatever is happening from a different perspective.

I do this on a regular basis, be it just going for a walk to change the scenery or going away for a weekend or on an extended vacation.

Rick and I just got back from a 9 day vacation to Asheville, NC. The picture above is me at TC - our traveling condo. We no longer camp, we glamp (glamorous camping). I love traveling this way. We love our FunFinder. The idea of going away for us is to find the fun and enjoy.

While we were there, we spent time hiking, finding waterfalls and driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. For me, the two best places to vacation are either in the mountains or at the beach. Each one has its own calling for me.  Both are ways I am able to connect with nature, relax and enjoy. The other thing I recently did was to take a day to reflect upon what I had accomplished this past year and what I wanted to accomplish in the next 12 months. I did this for both my business and for me personally. The first thing I did was listed all that is really important to me right now. I spent an entire morning journaling, reflecting and writing.

I would love to hear how you make time to relax, rejuvenate and reflect. Send me an email at gs@connecttocalm.com or post on my Facebook.
